Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What is the SkillsInSight assessment?

SkillsInSight is a Brook Street assessment tool. The assessment provides career advice based on your attributes, behaviours and aspirations, and can help us recommend a more personalised path to your career growth. It also helps us and our client by providing insights on employability skills, matching individuals to opportunities which better suit their skills and requirements. Your talent agent will provide your personalised link to SkillsInsight.

Who are the talent agents?

Our talent agents are our team delivering the AccelerateYou experience.

Our consultants go through a certification process in order to become a talent agent, which gives them a deeper and more sophisticated level of coaching, consulting and listening – in order to build long-term, sustainable relationships with our associates.

Together with their knowledge of the market and client needs, they are trained to recognise individual potential, and take a long-term view of your career pathway, to guide you through the AccelerateYou programme and develop a blueprint for your success.

What can I turn to talent agents for?

Your talent agent will be your go-to person for any issues or questions you have throughout the programme. From training and development, work opportunities, payroll and more – they will support you throughout and give you personalised guidance.

How long does the AccelerateYou programme take?

AccelerateYou is an ongoing programme with no end date for our associates. Once a work assignment is complete, your talent agent will track your progression towards your career goals and help you find a new opportunity that gets you a step closer to achieving them.

Once I’m signed up, can I change my mind?

Yes, AccelerateYou is an opt-in programme so you can exit the programme at any point by getting in contact with your talent agent.

What kind of training can I do?

The training opportunities will vary depending on your career goals and attributes. The courses include opportunities to develop soft skills including problem-solving, communication or empathy, or help you enhance your technical skills with modules like “A complete guide to Excel”, or “Excellence in customer service”. Your talent agent will be able to explain more about the opportunities available for you.

How is the access to jobs through AccelerateYou different to the Brook Street website?

As AccelerateYou is a personalised programme, your talent agent will be able to identify roles that match your requirements more effectively. They will work with clients towards roles where you are pushing yourself up the career ladder and recommend relevant trainings for you to continuously develop your skills, helping you reach new career heights in the process.

What are client recommendations?

Client recommendations are an important piece of the AccelerateYou programme. They give our clients the opportunity to recognise you for your work and motivate you to continue to perform at your best. We operate a medals programme to communicate and celebrate your success. Six soft skills have been identified that are applicable to all roles and indicators of our associates’ success. The client you are on assignment with will be invited to recognise you on a monthly or quarterly basis by awarding one or more of the six medals.

What else is important for me to succeed in AccelerateYou – other than client recommendations?

As well as client recommendations, AccelerateYou participants receive support, guidance and representation from talent agents to determine their career milestones. It is these career milestones that will provide associates with access to development tools and drive to achieve personal and career objectives.
